Drum Tennis Ball Riser Build Guide
Build Guide for a drum tennis ball riser to reduce downstairs noise: I used two 3/4" MDF sheets (4×5 ft), drilled 2" holes with a corded drill, then sandwiched 25 tennis balls to isolate kick and pedal thumps from a Roland TD‑17 ekit.
The denser layout adds rigidity so the platform supports the throne, delivering quieter practice, solid feel, and a simple, low‑cost DIY solution.
